What type of information do we collect?

When you order from our online shop, we collect and store information that you provide us with relating to that order. We use that information to process and fulfil your order. The information we collect is your name, billing address and email address, the delivery address if different, and your order history. All payment details are processed through Paypal. When you book an event, make an enquiry or order from our Sheffield shop, we may ask you for your name, telephone number, email address and bank card details in order to complete the transaction or secure the booking. We use WorldPay to complete payment transactions in our shop. We do not store your bank card details.

 

When you click to subscribe to the Cocoa Wonderland newsletter, we collect your name and email address.

 

We use Google Analytics to measure how people interact with our website. You can read how Google Analytics handle and safeguard data in their Privacy Policy. We also collect and store feedback, comments, product reviews or recommendations, you may leave about Cocoa Wonderland and our services and products.

 

Why we collect your personal data

The data we collect allows us to fulfil your order or event booking, operate our services, provide customer support, and comply with UK laws and regulations.

 

How do we store your personal information?

The Cocoa Wonderland website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

 

We store personal data relating to online orders for six years after the date of purchase. This is to comply with UK consumer law. If you book an event at Cocoa Wonderland we store your name, telephone number and email address securely for 18 months.

 

Our mailing list is managed by Wix.com. We review our mailing list and the data stored on it every two years.

 

We currently use Paypal to manage payments in our webshop, but in the future we may also offer direct payments through Wix.com. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Who do we share your personal data with?

We will never rent or sell your personal information to anyone. We do use third-party services to fulfil our service and run our website - these are Wix.com and associated apps, Paypal, WorldPay, Google Analytics as detailed above, as well as postal and courier services to deliver your order and G Suite. These third-party services may be based outside the EU.

How do we communicate with you?

If you place an order or book one of our workshops or events through our shop or our online store, we will only contact you as necessary to fulfil that order or provide you with the service you have requested or the event you have booked. You will not be added to our mailing list without giving your explicit consent by opting in.
